MTS Plant Support Bikescape to Construct New Pump Track

Bikescape specialises in the design, build and maintenance of mountain bike and BMX facilities. They manage and coordinate bespoke and unusual projects start to finish, taking on the consultation and design phase, right through to the build and maintenance.  

Founded in 2015, Bikescape is a community-focused organisation aiming to enrich local community’s through providing first-class facilities which improve the local environment.

In late 2017 we at MTS Plant were approached by Bikescape, who were looking for a plant hire provider to support their latest community funded project and we were more than happy to help. Bikescape were in need of both a 4.5 ton excavator complete with tilting bucket and a T590 Bobcat tracked loader to be used in the construction phase of a new BMX and Mountain bike “pump track” in Cardrona Scotland.

The compact plant hire machinery was used throughout the construction in rough grading, terrain shaping using the tilt bucket, and preparing the sites sub-base.
