MTS Help Create Local Wildlife Pond

20th April, 2015

A couple of our Bobcat plant machines have recently been helping transform a patch of private land in a local village just outside of Wakefield, into a small wildlife sanctuary. The land is planned to house two rescued donkeys, and the construction of the central pond is hoped to attract local birds and wildlife.

One of our six tonne Bobcat E62 excavator was used to dig out the pond which is shown in the image gallery. A Bobcat 500 platform loader was also on site to help prepare the ground for seeding. The S530 skidsteer was fitted with Bobcats tiller attachment which was used to mix soil and break up clumps. The same machine was then able to swap attachments for the Bobcat landscape rake, which was the used as a finishing tool. The landscape rake is able to pick up and collect all rocks over 1.9mm  leaving the soil smooth level and clear of unwanted stones rocks and twigs.

All of the machines and attachments mentioned can be hired from using any of our four UK Depots.
