The Thwaites 9T Site Dumper is a true earthmover with a large capacity skip that swivels on a pivot close to the front end of the chassis. Swivel tips are ideal in many situations, but especially in roadworks, in agriculture and on any site where space is limited. By emptying from the front, the operator has far better visibility – improving both precision and safety.

Thwaites 9T dumpers have either a 74.5kW Perkins 1100 four-cylinder water-cooled diesel injection engine with 74 HP and peak torque of 412Nm, or a 3.6 litre Deutz turbo diesel with 55.4kW and 405Nm of torque. They also come with two different transmissions – either a Powershuttle or a Powershift. The Shuttle allows the driver to simply pull a lever to switch directly from forward to backward motion (or vice versa) while the Shift changes gears while moving and under load without the operator needing to apply the clutch. Changes of speed and Powershift forward/reverse are controlled by a single column mounted lever, making the 9T extremely easy to learn as well as ergonomic to use.
