Bobcat Wheel Saw Demo Day
1st June, 2015
This week saw us host our eagerly awaited Bobcat wheel saw demo day at our head office in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The event was part of Bobcat’s new “Tough Jobs” initiative, which aims to promote the Bobcat Loader as more than just a bucket carrier.
The first event was held at earlier this year in Rome and showcased the Bobcat Laser Grader, which was used in the construction of a new sports field at Vatican City. In an initial attempt to match the prestige of this event we had considered asking her Majesty the Queen if she needed any cable installing at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle. However, when we found out she was busy on 27th May, we went with plan B and dug up the back yard of our Wakefield depot instead.
None the less the event was a great success. Bobcat rolled out the big guns, and flew in their official operator and test driver Robby Bosch from Czechoslovakia, who drive our T590 Compact Tracked Loader on the day. The promotion we had done in the weeks prior had definitely paid off as a number new potential customers from utility installation, civil engineering and plant hire Company’s paid our depot a visit to get a look at the wheel saw in action.
With the help of the North Yorkshire based plant hire firm Wrights of Crockey Hill Ltd we were also able to organise a second day of the event at a privately owned airfield just outside York. This secluded venue allowed visitors more freedom to hop in and try out the equipment for themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.
We are now including the attachment in our plant hire fleet. We currently offer a host of related attachments such as road planers, and trenchers for hire from all our depots in Lanarkshire, the North East, Yorkshire and Lancashire. We feel due to the amount of interest in this specialist Bobcat attachment there is a place for it in the hire market.
If you are interested in the Bobcat Wheel Saw and would like to find out more, please feel free to contact your local depot or use the online contact us form and someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
