Bobcat Angle Broom in action in Scotland

13th March, 2015

Despite the early signs of spring being in the air in other parts of the UK, our depot in Cumbernauld Scotland certainly hasn’t seen the last of winter just yet. During a recent visit to our most Northerly office we woke up to find a three to four inches of thick snow covering most of the ground. These types of conditions can often grind businesses to halt in other parts of the country, yet it didn’t seem to bother the guys up here very much.

On arrival one of our S130 skidsteer loaders was already out clearing the surrounding roads with the angle broom attachment fixed. The angle boom is an ideal attachment for clearing light to medium snow fall quickly and efficiently. Unlike a snow plough which will clear the majority of the heavy snow but then leave a thin icy patch below, the Bobcat angle broom gets rid of it all. The angle broom only leaves behind light slush or water, which means less chance of ice.

The angle broom attachment is available from any our plant hire depots in Yorkshire, Lancashire, County Durham, and Cumbernauld Scotland as part of our Bobcat hire fleet. Hopefully we have now seen the last of the white stuff for one year. However when the next winter comes around remember it is always best to be prepared, and due to its compact size a Bobcat loader is ideal to keep on site ready to clear your loading bays and car parks when needed.
