For the third year running MTS Plant have exhibited at the Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show at the York Auction Centre. Thankfully this year’s event was graced by unusually pleasant weather for the time of year, which our team on the day were certainly thankful for after the snow and rain we all remembered from last year.
We exhibited a range of new Bobcat machinery alongside some of our more niche plant hire equipment. All of which received an impressive level of interest from Yorkshires farmers who turned out in their 1,000’s to get a look the new equipment and machinery on display.
One of the key products we set out to promote at the event was Bobcats new Agri spec telehandlers which are now available as standard with an outstanding 3 years and 3,000 hour manufacturer’s warranty. The new telehandler warranty is available across the range on all non-rotary telescopics, and can even be extended to a highly impressive 5 years / 5,000 hours of cover, which is fully transferable onto a second owner. This new level of cover not only shows that Bobcat is confident in the reliability of its new products but also that they are serious about taking on some of dominant players in the telescopic handlers market.
Alongside the TL358 telescopic handler we also exhibited a mix of compact excavators, a S100 skid steer loader and a T590 tracked loader. However, the item which received the most interest was our new mulching head attachment, which was added to our plant hire fleet last summer. As part of our marketing strategy to become a key hire provider to the landscaping and forestry industry we invested in a range of new forestry attachments which complement our existing Bobcat hire fleet. We are now able to offer forestry solutions for hire, which include tree stump grinders, flail mowers, tree transplanters, mobile wood chippers and of course our powerful mulching head.
For more information on our new fleet of forestry equipment or Bobcats new 3 year Telehander warranty please contact your local branch. If you missed us at the YAMS 2016 show, will also be exhibiting at ScotPlant 2016 in April (Edinburgh) and the Great Yorkshire Show in July (Harrogate).

We have been working with MTS Plant for just over 12 months now and have found their service and support second to none. Vanessa, Jenny, Matt and the team are fantastic and will always go the extra mile to meet our requirements. We have regularly used MTS Plant for Dumper and Excavator hire throughout this period and have found their range of machinery very reliable & of excellent quality. I would 100% recommend MTS Plant Hire.
We have used MTS Plant for a number of years and have been constantly impressed by the service provided. We work in a quick-moving industry where our requirements for small machine hire can be at short notice and highly varied. MTS Plant manages to keep us supplied with quality machines along with great customer service. We look forward to driving our business forward knowing that we have the resources to satisfy our customers needs without the high expense of owning our own machines.
MTS has been a great company to cross hire small plant in for our customers. The great thing about MTS is the friendly staff who are very committed to making sure Travis Perkins is a priority customer and will move things around in their daily transport too fit urgent orders in. Myself and my team now use Mts as our first point of call as we have confidence in how the business works from the staff to the machines themselves.
MTS has arranged for us at times very short notice the most diverse ranges of hire equipment, even nationwide. We first started using MTS a few years ago now an don’t hesitate to call the well mannered and excellently informed staff, We have experienced difficulties when on hire and the response was second to none, from the delivery drivers to the mechanic’s, the professional advice and service we haven’t matched anywhere in my 32 years in construction.
The branch at Leigh is always ready to accommodate our needs and they do it with a cheerful professional manner every time.
