The Yanmar Vi082 excavator benefits from a spacious new design of cabin which is fully compliant with international safety standards. ROPS and retractable seatbelt are fitted as standard. Another standard cabin feature is the back mirror which enables the driver to keep a constant watch to the rear of the excavator.

The excavator’s ViPPS21 hydraulic system combines efficiency with performance and is an industry first in the 8 tonne excavator class. Hydraulic flow is controlled according to the load, which relieves any strain on the engine.

The Yanmar Vio82 has a standard operating mode which delivers 20% greater fuel efficiency than conventional competitors and an ecomode that increases this to 30%.

A diesel particulate filter captures the small amounts of matter in the engine’s emissions and prevents escape into the atmosphere. Nitric Oxide emissions are reduced by a system of exhaust gas recirculation. In addition, the Yanmar Vio82’s engine features an electronically controlled common rail and fuel injection system which analyses factors such as temperature, altitude and engine load conditions so that fuel injection timing is precisely controlled.
