Clydebank Port Services Choose MTS Plant

7th July, 2015

This week has seen Clydebank Port Services ltd in Glasgow once again hire a Bobcat Skidsteer from our Cumbernauld depot. The local port regularly receives shipments mainly consisting of sand and limestone which are unloaded and stored on site prior to being delivered to the end customers.

During a recent site visit to drop of the new S550 bobcat loader, with a sweeper attachment and bucket we spoke with Port Manger Douglas Anderson who explained “the bobcat loaders are ideal for us. Due to their maneuverability , compact size, and light weight compared to other machines they can be lifted onto the docking ships and are ideal for collecting up the leftover sand etc. which has been left behind, we are also able to make use of the sweeper to clear the docks both before and after the ships come in”.

At MTS Plant we feel this is a great example of a company making the most of their rented Bobcat loader. All too often we find customers taking a Skidsteer on hire from us with only a bucket, when we know full well that they would make use of another attachment e.g. Pallet forks, sweeper, or even a trencher. For as little as £80 per week company’s can hire a sweeper alongside there Bobcat with a bucket, which means the machine can spend more time working and less time unused, ultimately resulting in better value for the customer.
