Bradfield Brewery Opt for a Second Bobcat

23rd October, 2014

Bradfield Brewery is a successful family run brewery located in the picturesque Yorkshire Village of High Bradfield, just outside of Sheffield. The brewery is based on what used to be a family dairy farm. However, the farm underwent a drastic change just over 10 years ago when brewery owner John Gill was looking to diversify the business away from just producing milk. It seems since then they have never looked back, and it is not surprising as their business has gone from strength to strength. Many of their beers have grown to become favourites across the nation, and their most popular brew “Farmers Blonde” now sells over 50,000 pints per week. The brewery also regularly creates special edition or seasonal beers which include the recent “Farmers Yellow Jersey” to celebrate the Tour De France passing thought their home town on its way from York to Sheffield.

The Bradfield Brewery has been using a Bobcat S185 skid steer for some time now, and have just returned to MTS Plant Hire and Sales to purchase one of our ex hire Bobcat E50 excavators, which as can be seen is in excellent condition. As the majority of the staff come from an agricultural background they are more than familiar with the Skidsteer loader, which is used for a host of tasks around the brewery. As shown in the images the Bobcat Loader can often be seen transporting beer kegs around the site. The machine is also vital for the brewers when unloading produce, as lorries often struggle due to the steep nature of the land. When speaking with the owner John Gill during our visit he explained “I have used the Bobcat loaders right from the late 80s, and after trying a competitor model once I would now always stick to Bobcats. MTS has always been a great company to purchase both new and used machinery from, the quality of service and after sales are always excellent”.

At MTS we regularly stock a selection of pre-owned or ex hire machines, which as can be seen from the image gallery are all kept in great condition. We keep our website up to date with the pre-owned plant we have in stock, but for more information or to find out what stock might be coming up please contact info@mtsplant.co.uk.
